Finally! The new Bon Iver album arrived today. Almost everything could’ve been heard before but it’s always fantastic when the album as a whole is released. Bon Iver will undoubtly be remembered in 30 years from now as one of the most influential artists in the beginning of the 21st century. What Bon Iver does with music is pure magic.

I used to be a fan from artists like Usher, Mario and Craig David. Smooth R&B but also groundbraking in R&B. It’s hard for artists to evolve in music. And that’s the moment other artists pick up the pace. That is the feeling i had listening to the new How To Dress Well album. Tom Krell is one of the founders of the ALT R&B music direction. The smooth R&B has evolved into this new R&B style with much more room for instruments and interesting beats. In some way this is pure pop perfection.

Nicholas James Murphy (born 23 June 1988), better known by his stage name Chet Faker, is an Australian electronica musician. His cover of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” was featured in a 2013 Super Bowl commercial for Beck’s Sapphire. In April 2014 Built on Glass, Faker’s debut album, was released to generally positive reviews and debuted at number 1 on the Australian ARIA Charts. Three songs from the album were subsequently voted into the top ten of Triple J’sHottest 100 of 2014, including the number one spot for “Talk Is Cheap”.
Daniel Woolhouse creates music in the same style as James Blake and The XX. R&B inflected electro-pop. His albums “Songs” was released in 2014. Great album if you are into the previously named acts.
Sohn (stylised SOHN), born Christopher Taylor, is an English musician, songwriter, and producer based in Vienna, Austria. Following the release of 2012’s ‘The Wheel EP’ through Aesop Label he was signed by 4AD. He released his debut album, Tremors on 7 April 2014.
SOHN’s sound is compared to that of Jamie Woon. The story is that for most of the time when recording his debut-album, he was sleeping on Jamie’s attic as a guest. Talk about influence!
Tahliah Debrett Barnett (born 16 January 1988), known by the stage name FKA Twigs (stylised as FKA twigs), is an English singer, songwriter, producer and dancer. She was born and raised in Gloucestershire, and became a backup dancer after moving to London when she was 17 years old. Barnett first entered the music industry with the release of her extended plays EP1 (2012) and EP2 (2013). Her debut studio album LP1 (2014) and third extended play M3LL155X (2015) were released to critical acclaim, the first of which peaked at number 16 on the UK Albums Chart and number 30 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

Perfume Genius is the stage name for Seattle-based solo artist Mike Hadreas. As of 2016, he has released three albums. On September 23, 2014, Hadreas released his third album. The album was a transformative leap for Hadreas and marked a new trajectory in his career. Pitchfork gave the album a 8.5 and commented that “these songs feel less like songs and more like treasures, ones that fill you with power and wisdom.”
Christopher Francis “Frank” Ocean (born Christopher Edwin Breaux; October 28, 1987), is an American singer, songwriter and rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. Ocean embarked on his musical career as a ghostwriter for several prominent artists, including John Legend, Justin Bieber and Brandy.
His debut studio album, Channel Orange, was released in July 2012 to critical acclaim and was promoted with three charting singles: “Thinkin Bout You”, “Pyramids” and “Sweet Life”.
Jack Garratt (born 11 October 1991) is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire. He released his debut studio album Phase on 19 February 2016.
