Nick Murphy – Stop Me (Stop You)

Remember Chet Faker? Australian hipster with the huge beard? He’s back! But, he changed his name to Nick Murphey. Which is very confusing because of Nick Mulvey. Would’t have minded him keeping his former name.

But then, what it’s all about, the music! Stop Me (Stop You) is sensational. And then especially the version that isn’t edited. 8 minutes of beautyness.

Son Lux – Lost It To Trying

Ryan Lott, known by his stage name Son Lux, is an American musician who was born in Denver, Colorado, United States, and is based in New York. He has released four albums, two EPs and a handful of singles, his most recent album Bones appeared in June 2015. He is also a member of Sisyphus and has featured on one album and an EP with this trio. Additionally Lott has scored the soundtracks for a number of films, most notably Paper Towns (2015) and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby (2013).

Empire Of The Sun – Walking On A Dream

Weird band, great song part II. Just like MGMT this band had a huge hit in the 00’s with one song. The rest of the album could not really win me over. Maybe “Alive” on Ice Of The Dune” their second album.

MGMT – Kids

Great song. Weird band.Only song i like. Love.

ANOHNI – HOPELESSNESS

Antony Hegarty, known for his work in Antony and the Johnsons, has changed to ANOHNI these days. And musically this change is amazing. With help from talented dj/producers like Hudson Mohawke, she has released a new album called HOPELESSNESS. With a  crazy combination of electronic dance music combined with protest songs she has released one of the most important albums of this year.

The single “Drone Bomb Me” made me think of Wild Beasts for a while.

Cloud Boat – Hideaway

With metal and postrock backgrounds the bandmembers started getting interested in electronical music. Their debut album “Model of You” is somewhere in between and can be described best as indietronica.

James Blake – I Need A Forest Fire

Finally, the new highly anticipated James Blake album was released today! With 17 songs enough new material. It contains one song with Frank Ocean (“Always”)  and this song, first single, with Bon Iver, “I Need A Forest Fire”. Other beautiful songs are “Noise Above Our Heads” and titletrack “The Colour In Everything”.

Ry X – Shortline

Today the first Ry X solo album was released. It contains a lot of singles and EP’s that were released in the past two years, like “Berlin”, “Sweat”, “Deliverance” and “Shortline”. In Ry Cumings’s other project like The Acid and Howling, the electronic music has the upper-hand. On this album, it is more about Ry’s voice. Beautiful debut of a talented singer songwriter! This “Shortline version on the album is also quite different then the Frank Wiedemann version which was released in 2014.
